What is a typical day?

You will be given a timetable for the day listing your program therapies and additional therapies if requested, along with times of classes, talks and demonstrations.  There is then some structure to the day, but this also allows you to plan in some time for relaxation, walking, using our gym, or simply chilling out.

How much weight will I lose?

Weight lossThis question is asked very often, and we wish to reiterate again, that although you will lose weight, we are focusing here on building a more mindful relationship with food and with your body.  Once the body has received an intensive cleanse, it is actually quite difficult to go back to the way you were eating and drinking before hand.  However for those of you who want to know the facts, we find that if the client is over 11 stone then weight loss is around 7lbs upwards, under 10 stone could be around 4-7lbs.  We have had client who came in at 8 stone and did not loose a pound and we have had some clients who have lost nearly a stone doing our program.  If there is no excess fat on your body then your weight will remain the same.  We are fasting you, not starving you!  You will experience good nourishment, (without the calories) and feel better than you probably have done in a long time.

What if I don’t want to do yoga?

There is nothing, repeat nothing you “have” to do here.  If you simply want to read and lie in bed, then that is your program!  We do not make you join in with anything you do not wish to do.

Some retreats do colonics every day, why don’t you?

What we offer here at Hawaii Detox Retreat are colonic hydrotherapy treatments by a registered colon specialist.  We do not advocate self administered therapy such as colema boards or enemas.  Our treatments are carried out by qualified professionals to take away the stress, mess and embarrassment factor.

How Long Should I Do A Detox For?

We offer a 7 day Detox, 14 Day or our 28 Week Program.  We offer these as a way of fitting it with people's busy lifestyles and work commitments.

What If I Am On Medication?

If your medication is prescribed we do not wish to interfere with your health care practitioner. Carry on taking them during your stay.

Why Do You Do Certain Treatments?

All our treatments are specific to helping you detox.  On arrival you will be given a welcome meeting where all our therapies are explained in full.

How Should I Prepare for My Detox?
